The Bspoke Group today announces a significant milestone in its growth journey with the appointment of Ryan Gill as Chief Executive Officer.
The announcement follows Bspoke’s recent acquisition by NFP, an Aon company and leading international insurance brokerage and consulting firm, and supports the next stage of its expansion strategy.
Ryan Gill, previously Chief Commercial Officer, replaces former CEO Tim Smyth, who becomes Deputy Chair, where he will focus on the Group’s strategic direction and the long-term opportunities presented by joining NFP.
Tim Smyth commented: “This is a natural progression for the business and an exciting step as we enter a new chapter. Bspoke has experienced substantial growth in recent years, and I’m delighted that Ryan has agreed to take the helm.
“His leadership and vision will be instrumental as we move forward. I will continue to play an active role in the business, and my focus will be on maintaining clear direction, supporting leadership teams, and keeping momentum as we move through this important period of transition.”
Ryan Gill said: “I’m incredibly excited to take on the leadership of Bspoke Group at such a pivotal time. Thanks to Tim’s leadership, we have a strong foundation and an exceptional team. With the support of our new shareholders, the strength of our people, and the strategic platform already in place, we are well positioned to realise our ambition to become the leading niche and specialist MGA in the UK insurance market”.
“I would like to thank our customers, capacity partners and trading partners for their continued support and look forward to working with them on the next stage of our journey”.
Ryan will also join the NFP Executive Leadership Team across the UK and Ireland. Craig Hunter will remain in his role as Chief Operating Officer.
In addition to changes at the top of the organisation, Bspoke has established a dedicated Retail Division, comprising its businesses Police Mutual, Forces Mutual, Bspoke Lifestyle, Bspoke Private Clients, and insure-tech Arma Karma.
This new structure is designed to sharpen focus and provide a clearer, unified proposition to customers and partners. Kerry McMahon-White will lead this division and become Retail Managing Director, while continuing in her position as Managing Director of Police Mutual.
Kerry McMahon-White commented: “This is an exciting development for all of us at Bspoke. Our ambition is to build a business that is agile, expert, and fully aligned with the needs of both our customers and our people. I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made and confident that this new structure will kick-start the next stage of our journey.”
Further leadership appointments within the Retail Division have also been announced:
- Andy Talbot, formerly Head of Operations SME and Personal Lines at Gallagher, will join as Retail Operations Director in September.
- Adrian Ewington, formerly MD of Bspoke private Clients, will take on the newly created role of Retail Underwriting Director.
- Stuart Bromley will take on the role of Managing Director of Bspoke Private Clients.
This strengthened leadership team will drive consistency and focus across the Retail Division, positioning Bspoke for continued growth and long-term success.
